Experience

A chronological view of my work across doctoral research, applied AI engineering, and NLP research.

October 2025 - Present
Current

PhD Student in Computer Science

University of Warwick, UK

I am working on reliable and adaptive LLM-based systems, with a focus on LLM workflows, agentic reasoning, retrieval-augmented generation, and robustness. My current research studies how LLM workflows can be represented, analyzed, routed, and optimized under real-world constraints such as cost, uncertainty, and noisy external information.

2022 - September 2025

AI Engineer

Zalo AI

Supervisor: Mr. Trang Truong

Developing and deploying speech processing models, including Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), for real-world applications. Contributed to the development of Kiki Assistant by integrating and optimizing these models.

2022 - September 2025

Research Assistant

UIT Natural Language Processing Group

Supervisor: Dr. Kiet Van Nguyen & Prof. Ngan Luu-Thuy Nguyen

Conducting research in Natural Language Processing (NLP), focusing on machine reading comprehension, question-answering (QA) systems, and language models. Contributed to the publication of eight scientific papers at top-tier conferences (e.g., EACL, NAACL). Developed and released state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, including ViQAS (Vietnamese QA) and CafeBERT (language model).

2018 - 2021
